“북한은 뭐랄까 공격적이어서 무서울 때가 있어요.”

[오프닝]

여러분은 어떤 나라를 가깝다고 느끼시나요? 또 세계 각국 외국인들은 어떤 나라와 친하고 또 어떤 나라와 멀다고 말했을까요? 직접 확인해보시죠!

[한국]

“어디서 오셨나요?”

“Where are you from?”

“한국인입니다.”

“I'm Korean.”

“한국 사람들이 좋아하는 나라가 있다면 어디일까요?”

“If there is a country that Koreans like, what would it be?”

“미국 아니면 일본 당장 떠오르는 것 같아요.”

“The United States or Japan I think.”

“문화적으로도 그렇고 경제적으로도 선진국이기도 하다 보니까 좋은 이미지가 갖춰져있어서, 시민의식도 있고 유명한 브랜드 같은 것들도 많이 있고.”

“Culturally and economically it is a developed country so it has a good image, a sense of citizenship, and many famous brands.”

“반대로 한국인들이 좀 안 좋아하는 나라들도 있을까요?”

“But, are there countries that Koreans don't particularly like?”

“중국 사람들에 대한 인식이 한국에선 그렇게 좋지는 않은 것 같아요. 시끄럽다든지 아니면 피해를 입히는 그런 사례들이 있다든지. 사실 저는 경험해보진 못하긴 했는데. 저는 사실 미국을 제일 좋아해서.”

“The perception of Chinese people in Korea is not very positive. There are cases where they are noisy or cause harm, but I haven't personally experienced that. To be honest, I love the U.S. the most.”

 

“이유는요?”

“Why?”

“I like a lot of American singers.”

“미국 가수들 좋아하는 게 많아가지고.”

[미국]

“I'm from America.”

“제가 그 미국 사람입니다.”

“If there is a country that American like, what would it be?”

“미국에서 좋아하는 나라가 있다면 어디일까요?”

“I would say Canada.”

“캐나다죠.”

“Why Canada?”

“왜요?”

“We're very similar, and we have a close relationship. The UK as well. We have a similar culture.”

“우린 엄청 비슷하고, 또 가까운 관계를 가지고 있으니까요. 아 영국도요. 비슷한 문화를 갖고 있으니까요.”

“But, are there countries that American don't particularly like?”

“그럼 좀 안 좋아하는 나라가 있다면요?”

“China, North Korea, And Russia.”

“중국, 북한, 그리고 러시아.”

“They think they're dangerous countries I think they're kind of Intimidated because those countries are a bit more powerful and they can kind of go up against the US.”

“그들은 스스로를 위험한 나라라고 생각하는데 제 생각에 사람들이 좀 위축된 것 같아요. 왜냐하면 그 나라들이 강력하고 미국과 맞설 수도 있기 때문이죠.”

[일본]

“어디서 오셨나요?”

“Where are you from?”

“일본이요.”

“Japan”

“일본의 젊은 사람들은 한국을 좋아해요. K-POP과 한국 음식도 유명하고요.”

“I think young people like Korea. K-POP and Korean food are popular.”

“일본에서 싫어하는 나라가 있다면?”

“Are there any countries that people in Japan generally dislike?”

“보통 북한이라고들 하죠. 북한은 뭐랄까 공격적이어서 무서울 때가 있어요.”

“Some people say North Korea. I think there are aggressive part gives a somewhat scary impression.”

“일본엔 중국 음식을 좋아하는 사람들이 꽤 있지만 가끔 중국사람들은 조금 시끄럽고 예의가 없는 경우가 있어요. 그래서 역시 싫어하는 사람들도 적지 않죠.”

“I think there are a lot of people who like Chinese food, but sometimes people are a little noisy and don't have a good manner, so I think there are a lot of people. who are not good at it.”

[우크라이나]

“어디서 오셨어요?”

“Where are you from?”

“저는 우크라이나에서 왔어요. 우리는 주로 서구를 선호하고 유럽 연합의 생활방식을 좋아해요. 우리는 유럽과 더 연결돼있다고 느껴요.”

“I'm from Ukraine. We are mostly drawn to the West like the way of living in the European Union. We just feel more related to Europe.”

“반대로 안 좋아하는 나라도 있을까요?”

“Which country do you dislike the most?”

“있죠. 바로 옆동네에 있어요.”

“Yes, our neighbouring country.”

[튀르키예]

“어디서 오셨어요?”

“Where are you from?”

“저는 튀르키예에서 왔어요.”

“I'm from Turkey.”

“사람마다 다르겠지만 저는 한국을 뽑을래요. 물론 남한. 집에선 신발을 벗는 것과 같은 문화가 닮아있으니까요. 싫은건 이스라엘, 그리고 아르메니아. 이스라엘은 팔레스타인 때문에 그렇고 아르메니아는 그들이 학살이 있었다고 우기니까요.”

“it depends on the people's thoughts I feel like more close to Korea, South Korea.  take off the shoes, there is some cultural similarities so. israel and also armenia. israel cause because of the palestine and also armenia like they said they were a war.”

[프랑스]

“어디서 오셨나요?”

“Where are you from?”

“저는 프랑스에서 왔어요.”

“I'm from France”

“프랑스 사람들이 좋아하는 나라가 있나요?”

“Are there any countries that people in France generally like?”

“유럽 국가들이죠. 스페인이나 이탈리아, 스웨덴. 저는 프랑스에서 태어났지만, 제 가족은 아프리카의 토고 출신이에요. 두 문화는 꽤 달라요. 프랑스 사람들은 다른 문화에 대해 힘들어해요. 잘 모르는데다 아마 배우고 싶어하지 않기 때문이에요. 나이에 따라서 미국에 대한 생각이 다른데 제가 어렸을 때는 아메리칸 드림이 있고 뉴욕에 가고 싶어했는데 하지만 요즘에는 미국에서 일어나는 일들을 보며 미국이 다른 나라들보다 더 낫다고 생각하진 않아요.”

“European countries Spain, Italy, Sweden. I was born in France, but my family were from Togo in Africa. And it's two different cultures. they have a hard time with different cultures because they don't know it they maybe don't want to learn. I think it's different depending of your age when I was younger the American dream and go to New York. But now I feel like, we see what is happening in the U.S. I don't think that it's a better place than any other country.”

[독일]

“어디서 오셨어요?”

“Where are you from?”

“독일에서요. 이탈리아와 스페인을 좋아해요. 따뜻한 나라들을 좋아하거든요. 또 한국도요. 독일인들은 한국 문화에 관심이 많아요. K-팝이나 스타일 같은 것들. 주변에 한국에 가고 싶지 않아하는 독일 사람은 한 명도 없어요.”

“From Germany. Germans really love Italy and also Spain, like the really warm countries. Also Korea, because Germans are really interested in Korean culture and Kpop and everything and the style also So I think I don't even know any German who doesn't want to go to Korea.”

“반대로 멀게 느껴지는 나라는?”

“Are there any countries that people see negatively?”

“일단 러시아. 정치적 문제 때문이고 가끔 미국도 언급되지만 어떤 사람들은 미국을 정말 좋아하고 가고 싶어하기도 해요. 또 아프리카의 작은 나라들. 좋아하지 않는 이유는 위생적이지 않다고 느껴서예요.”

“sometimes like Russia and like countries with very bad politics. Also sometimes the US, but some people also love the US and really want to go there. Maybe some really small countries in Africa  they don't really like because they feel like it's not hygienic.”
